Um, yeah, so, yeah . . . I'm just going through some weird stuff right now, and this is a bad time to be in a relationship . . . I considered doing this through a text message, but, you know, so, yeah. Sorry, but, just, I guess, bye.

Yep. That's me breaking up with you. I don't think I'll be posting anymore, ever. This won't come as a shock, since the readers I'm writing to don't exist, and I've been posting sporadically for the past many months . . . But you can still look at the old posts, so, whatever.

P.S. I forgot to post this, and that's a good thing, because I just made a new decision. I'm going to write some new blogs. One about art, and another maybe about Sims 2 when I get it up and running again. So, look out for them. I think I'm gonna write one really last post on good ol' Parlez Vous Francais and put in the links to them when they're set up . . .

Art is Life . . .

Hallo. I am instigating a new series on Parlez Vous Francais . . . paintings! Yeah, I know I don't blog much anymore . . . but shut the hell up . . . !

Anyway, I'm posting the first painting today, along with this quote from Elizabeth Bowen:

Illusions are art, for the feeling person, and it is by art that you live, if you do.

I think it's beautiful, and so is the painting you see above! It is Amelie von Schintling, by Joseph Karl Stieler.

New Heading Pic!

Ok, the picture behing the blog title has been changed from an adorable Ruddy Kingfisher to a wonderful American Goldfinch!

Has anyone else off in cyberspace started their Christmas lists? (Yes, I still do that. They're much shorter than they used to be though! And now they don't include Barbies.)

Hey

Hi, sorry I haven't posted. I've been very very very busy. I've been:

A, preparing for the Big Sit!

B, sewing my Halloween costume.

And C, perusing France and New York City.

The Big Sit is one of the biggest Birding events of the year. It lasts for all 24 hours of October 15th, which fell on a Sunday this year. If you're participating you are supposed to bird-watch for the whole time and count how many birds you see and hear. I think if you're a member of the National Birding Association (NBA, ironically enough) you can submit your number and the biggest one wins a prize or something. I spent most of Sunday sitting outside, part of the afternoon my friend sat with me. I identified (saw or heard) 3 birds! For a major amateur like me that's incredible! Congratulate me (with comments!)

Haha, it's been awhile since I pleaded for comments, from readers who I severely doubt are there.

My Halloween costume is Gaz, the sister of Dib from Invader Zim. I'm wearing a purple wig (I dyed an old blonde one of my mom's) and clothes I obviously am making myself.

And I was doing my perusing of France and New York City via Google Maps "street view." It's sososososo incredible. I've only been to NYC twice but I love it. And France never, unfortunately.

Anyway, GTG.

A Boot, in Honor of Those Changin' Leaves

These are Manolo Blahnik cap toe booties. I love their vibe. It's kind of film-noir, right? The Chanel-esque cap toes, the monocromatic, staid coloring. Aren't they great?
Speaking of Chanel-esque, I need to tell you something that can now only be called Chanel-esque.
Coco avant Chanel. Coco before Chanel. I can tell you right now that the movie is going to be a farce of the early life of my idol. In the review in the Times, it said, blatantly incorrect, that Coco and Adrienne were sisters. THEY WEREN'T! Adrienne was her frickin' AUNT! Dammit. She had two sisters, Julia who was a moron and faced the same fate as her mother, accidental pregnancy and being worked to death. And there was Antoinette, who died of a disease like yellow fever in South America.
